My name is Shanda Norton and I was born and raised in Colorado. I married my High School sweetheart and we just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary! Where does the time go?? My husband was in Law Enforcement for 30 years and has recently retired. We have raised 2 beautiful daughters that are the lights of our life and we now have 2 beautiful Grandsons that keep us on our toes! We owned and operated a small farm where we raised horses, cattle and butcher hogs in Colorado. It was a lot of fun and taught our children responsibility and how to care for and nurture animals. I was a licensed Realtor in Colorado for many years and when my husband retired from law enforcement we decided to move to Idaho. We chose to live in Orofino because it’s so beautiful here! We were looking for land for our horses and something within minutes of all the recreational activies we love to do. Orofino checked all our boxes and we couldn't be happier with our decision to move here. With the Dworshak Reservoir, Clearwater River, and Snake River all within a few minutes of our home we are able to be doing the things we love and not have to travel to do so. I attended the North Idaho Real Estate Academy in Coeur d’Alene Idaho and joined the United Country Steelhead Realty team. I chose to work with United Country because I love the people I work with and the community we live in. United Country has marketing tools that I believe every seller should demand, but no other brokerages were offering. Interactive mapping system, property videos, virtual tours, aerial photography and national advertising, to name a few. Being able to continue my career in Real Estate after moving to Idaho was an easy decision for me. I feel it is important in life to find a job that you love to do, and every day is a vacation here! I love the outdoors and spending time with my family. Hunting, camping, paddle boarding, boating, riding horses, and ATV’ing are some of the outdoor activities I like to do. Being able to work within a few minutes of my home and being surrounded by a recreational area are what my dreams were made of and I would love to help other families find their dream too. Every day I wake up and look outside and think, I must still be dreaming! LIVE WHERE YOU LOVE!!!
